Based on the Minerals Law of Mongolia and other legislation, the Geological and Mining Cadastre Department of MRAM will inspect the previous survey works in 2021 in accordance with the exploration license No. XV-021683 “Shartyn Khooloi” located in Adaatsag soum, Dundgovi aimag. Exploration, mining and drilling activities were carried out, and as a result, a number of fluorspar mineralized bodies were identified in the field and detailed exploration work was carried out in accordance with the methods and techniques. The settlement work is being carried out to report the Tsagaan Tolgoi fluorspar deposit to the Minerals Professional Council meeting.
The Shartyn Khooloi license area is located about 320 km from Ulaanbaatar, about 70 km northwest of Dundgovi aimag center, 35 km south of Adaatsag soum center, and 70 km west of the paved road connecting Dundgovi-Umnugovi aimag. .
In terms of tectonic structure, the Shart pipe fluorspar field forms the Delger Uul syncline, the Khukh Ovoo anticline, and the Adaatsag monocline.
The rock is not metamorphosed and is weakly affected by corneal incisions in the compression veins. The sedimentary rocks of this formation include fluorit, gold, copper, iron-bearing siliceous belts, and epitermal quartz veins.
