In accordance with the Government Action Plan 2020-2024 and the New Revival Policy, Mongolian Railways will be tasked with intensifying the construction, operation and transfer of the Western Vertical Railway and the Eastern Vertical Railway. gave the task.

In the case of the Western Vertical Railway, the 1255km Artssuuri-Shiveekhuren-Nariinsukhait Railway, the 420km Choibalsan-Khuut and Khuut-Bichigt Railways in the East, are owned by Mongolian Railway, a foreign and domestic investor, and a mining license holder. will be implemented in cooperation with companies.

With the implementation of the projects, Mongolia's railway network will be 4,700 km long. In addition, the Tavan Tolgoi-Gashuunsukhait railway will be transported in the first half of 2022, and the Tavan Tolgoi-Zuunbayan railway will be commissioned.
