Dornin Gobi Energy LLC is working on a project to build a 300 MW power plant based on the Dushiin Khudag brown coal deposit in Altanshiree soum, Dornogovi aimag. In this context, a request for a license to “build and export energy facilities” was submitted to the Energy Regulatory Commission in accordance with the relevant legislation, which was discussed at the meeting of the committee on January 13, 2022 and supported by 100% of the members.

During the meeting, A.Tleikhan, Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Commission, addressed that, “It was the great launching a valuable contribution to the country's development on the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the new Democratic Constitution of Mongolia and appreciate to the adorning Gobi Energy LLC. We would like to express our gratitude and congratulations on the success of this development project, as it is of great importance as a model for many other projects in the energy sector of Mongolia”.
